I would choose you, my daughter, day after day. I would do it all over again! |
“Death is defeated, the King is alive”
Because of His stripes, we are redeemed. What does that mean for us, the brokenhearted believers?
Our pain and suffering are not in vain. The day will come when we will reunite in the eternal banquet of heaven, a feast not of rich foods or delicious desserts (well, maybe hehe) but seated at the table —all our loved ones asleep, no more—complete and ALIVE bursting with love and joy.
I weep at this thought. I weep because it still hurts, my pain and my suffering strikes like my sins struck Jesus on that Good Friday. Yet nailed to that cross is our salvation, the salvation of our beautiful babies.
Their pain and their suffering are not in vain. They were always perfect to us, their mamas, but here...they are limitless. No longer bound to the chromosomal deficiencies but overflowing with the promises Jesus kept for us.
So I close my eyes and listen to my heart. Every beat, united, with our loved ones in Heaven. Can you see it? Their hearts have no holes, their lungs are not competing! Their unique fingers, like the hands of Christ, those are still there!!! Like Christ, they are proud of who they are, how God formed them in our wombs! Their first home—our love and our warmth, mama!
Death is defeated. Hallelujah, every tear is not in vain.
Blessed Easter.
I am so proud of my sweet, strong, brave baby girl. She overcame the odds to meet us earth side and fight every day to be with her family. I love you, my angel!

God’s love for us is undeniably powerful that He gave us Isabella to love and to hold. Unless a seed falls and dies it will not bear fruit. It is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Isabella keeps us focused on this journey everyday, pointing us to the rewards and fruits of our sacrifices.
